Daniel Alvarez

Board Member

I am an accomplished leader with a strong public policy, workforce development, and community engagement background. Over the past decade, I have worked with federal and state agencies, including the U.S. Department of State and the California Employment Training Panel, where I developed expertise in navigating policy cycles, managing complex programs, and driving systemic change. Currently, I serve on the Board of the Pomona Economic Opportunity Center and contribute to scholarship evaluation for MAAC. In addition, I teach Business Communications and International Business at MiraCosta College, and in Spring 2025, I will teach Marketing at the University of San Diego Knauss School of Business. I am passionate about advancing economic development, fostering social equity, and empowering underserved communities. Fluent in English and Spanish, I strive to lead with inclusivity and commit to creating lasting impact.
