A message from our Managing Director, Sarah Beauchemin

A friend recommended I join BFG because I was looking to connect with like-minded people in the community. I immediately felt welcomed at my first BFG social event. In my three years as a BFG member, I’ve formed strong relationships with dynamic people who also care about making a difference in San Diego, and have also gained solid insight into how I can expand my career.

When our communities thrive, so do our bottom lines

Local business owners told us which issues are most crucial to the longevity of their operations and communities in San Diego. We then created 4 policy action areas to tackle those challenges from all sides.

Why It Matters

We challenge the monolithic voice of business that dominates the conversation around “what business wants”

>98%

BFG gives local business owners a seat at the decision-making table so that as the economy’s backbone, we can have our interests seen and heard.

Profit matters, but not at the expense of our employees and communities. Our members prioritize paying livable wages while fighting for accessible housing for all.
